What is the Emirates Chaffeur Service?

Emirates are currently, at Manchester at least, the only airline still offering a chaffeur service. As part of you Emirates Business or First Fare (excluding certain classes, see below) you are picked up from the airport and whisked to the back home in style.

Booking is very simple, it's part of the app and website and you book your car and enter your home destination. Each adult is entitled to their own car and for larger groups mini vans are available.

This review is based on the lounge in Terminal 1, in Winter 2024.

For our trip, which was the afternoon flight arriving 18:00 into Manchester we booked a single car for us both, allowing for 2 large and a medium suitcase plus hand luggage each. Whilst in Abu Dhabi my phone rang overnight so I missed the call. However, I was able to find the contact details via a confirmation email and although I couldn't confirm via their website link, they quickly replied to my email and confirmed all was booked.

After we had collected our luggage we passed customs and then started to clear the airport. Just before the door to the main arrivals hall (this review is about T1, T2 might be different) there was a sign and we turned left and into an area where we were immediately greeted and asked our names. This lady checked a clipboard and as luck would have it, and the same had just happened to the previous couple, our driver was standing right next to her in a queue of drivers ready to go. We were introduced and off we set.

We were walked through the short stay car park and within a minute were at our lift home - a black Mercedes e-class for Business Class passengers. The driver loaded our bags, settled us into the car and then started the drive home. The journey was very comfortable and safe and allowed us time to recollect our holiday and flight.

A few bit of slight conversation, not too much and once home our bags were carried to the door for us and as with the chaffeur to the airport no obvious attempt to hang around for a tip.

Who can use Emirates Chaffeur Service to Manchester Airport

Anyone travelling on an outbound Emirates flight on a Business (excluding 'Special' fares, but including 'Saver'), First Class has Chaffeur Service included. There is a mileage limit and only adult fares include the Chaffeur Service, but if a family of 4, for example, is travelling, the parents can each book a car and travel with a child or possibly request a mini bus.

How to book Emirates Chaffeur Service to Manchester Airport

If it's included in your ticket then you will see the option to book it when you sign in to the app or website. As long as you book at least 48 hours before the departure you are fine you will be collected once you have your luggage. The Chaffeur Service was included as part of our flights as part of our itinerary of Abu Dhabi.

Is the Emirates Chaffeur Service Adults only?

Although it is only available on Adult tickets, a child can share with an adult. However, if a family of 4 books 2 cars an adult HAS to travel in each car.

Can I pay on the day?
